Inspired by the blue jays that dominate my backyard, always loud, curious, and watching everything around them. The only birds that seem to keep them in check are the blackbirds.

The flowers are inspired by Ontario woodland plants and the relationships that exist between birds, plants, and the land around us. Blue continues to carry itself through my work, and felt like the natural home for this painting.
