Traveling Smudge Kit/Tobacco Pouch – wolf – Leather, lined

$55.00

A traveling Smudge Kit containing an Abalone shell and Native Mohawk grown ceremonial tobacco. There is room for you to add a small box of matches (can’t be shipped).
The pouch is adorned with 2 cabochons featuring a wolf howling at the moon in a night sky with feathers dangling below. The cabochon is surrounded by metallic beads. The pouch is done in dark leather, sewn with the rough side out and lined with a feather patterned cotton fabric. The pouch is designed to hold an Abalone shell, matches and tobacco. I can’t ship matches, so you have to add your own. Customarily you carry this with you in your pocket, bag, glove box, boat so you have access to tobacco to give thanks to Creator for your fish, feathers, deer, moose, etc. Creation has gifted your prowess with meat/fish to consume. It is right to say thank you/Miigwetch/Nia:wen. Sprinkle some tobacco on the ground or in the water to give thanks.
Use the shell and burn the tobacco at dawn or other times to connect with Creator, sending prayers of thanks, prayers for strength to center your mind and spirit for the day.
Otherwise the pouch can carry anything you choose.
The tobacco enclosed is a gift. I do not sell the tobacco I grow. Medicines are not for sale.
