These earrings feature Herkimer diamonds(please see in description below) size 11 opaque white beads, with light and forest green leaves.
The findings are all 22 gauge rose gold wire.
The hide on the back is deer hide, recycled from another local indigenous artisan who also practices using all of the animal.

Description

Herkimer Diamond information: Herkimer diamonds are 500 million years old. They are not actual diamonds, they are a unique 7 sided double terminated quartz crystal. They are found only in Herkimer N.Y., as well as along streams in the homelands of my Mohawk ancestors, which could explain why they felt that they looked like diamonds. Herkimers grow in dolomite, which is a carbonated rock, and the herkimers are found in the deposits.
